1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, govern your access and use of hookgen.ai and its associated services (collectively, the "Platform"). The Platform is operated as a Sole Trader enterprise based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
By accessing or using this Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must cease use immediately.
2. The Technology
HookGen.ai is an AI-powered creative studio offering two generation engines:
- • 30 seconds of 48kHz stereo audio
- • AI prompt refinement via GPT-4o mini
- • Instrumental music generation only
- • SynthID watermarking on all outputs
- • Genres: Pop, Jazz, Electronic, Orchestral, Lo-Fi, Hip-Hop, Cinematic, Ambient
- • Up to 10 seconds of cinematic video
- • Resolutions: 720p / 1080p
- • Aspect ratios: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1
- • Auto-generated visual prompt from your audio
- • Optional audio + video merge to MP4
Important: Lyria 2 generates instrumental music only. It does not produce spoken words or sung lyrics. All audio outputs contain an inaudible SynthID digital watermark. You agree not to attempt to remove or circumvent this watermark.
3. Credits & Payments
All generations require credits, purchased via Stripe or PayPal.
Refund Policy: Credits consumed by a successful generation are non-refundable. If a generation fails due to a platform or API error, credits are automatically refunded to your account. Requests for refunds on unused credits must be submitted within 7 days of purchase to support@hookgen.ai.
4. Intellectual Property
Your Input: You retain ownership of the text prompts you provide. By submitting prompts you confirm they do not infringe third-party rights.
Generated Outputs: You are granted a royalty-free license to use generated audio and video for personal or commercial projects, provided the SynthID watermark in the audio remains intact and you do not claim the output as entirely human-created where disclosure is required by law.
AI Disclosure: Some jurisdictions require disclosure that content is AI-generated. You are solely responsible for complying with applicable laws in your region.
5. Privacy & Data Handling
Authentication: Account management is handled by Clerk. We collect your name and email address for account identification only.
Storage: Generated audio and video files are stored on Firebase Storage. Metadata and generation history are stored on NeonDB (PostgreSQL). You can delete any generated file from your library at any time.
Third-Party AI APIs: Your prompts are processed by Google Lyria 2 (via Replicate) and OpenAI GPT-4o mini for prompt refinement. These services have their own privacy policies. Prompts are not stored beyond what is necessary for generation.
Bot Protection: We use reCAPTCHA v3 to prevent abuse, subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
6. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use HookGen.ai to:
- • Generate content that infringes on third-party intellectual property
- • Attempt to circumvent or remove SynthID watermarks from generated audio
- • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Platform itself
- • Use automated scripts to abuse the credit system or generation endpoints
- • Generate content intended to deceive, defame, or harm individuals
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any legal disputes shall be settled through mediation in Sydney prior to any formal litigation. The Platform operator reserves the right to update these Terms at any time; continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
